Explore Can Gio Forest, UNESCO's inaugural Mangrove Biosphere Reserve Zone, is a vibrant haven of diverse flora and fauna, captivating biologists and nature enthusiasts.
Our tour guides pick you up at your hotel (located in the center District 1) and head to Can Gio – is known as Monkey Island.
Upon arrival, we will visit the mangrove forest, home to over 1,000 monkeys. You can feed and take photos with these monkeys as they surround you and even climb on your shoulders. Next, take a short walk to the crocodile area, where locals conserve many large crocodiles from the “American war.” You can also try “crocodile fishing” there (optional). Afterwards, take a speedboat to the “Sac” guerrilla camp, which was built deep in the jungle. Today, the camp is a major tourist attraction, offering a unique experience and insights into jungle life during the war.
Next, we will enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Afterwards, you'll have free time to explore a local seafood market, where you can find a variety of fresh seafood, such as octopus, lobster, and ray, as well as dried foods. Additionally, you can go swimming at Can Gio Resort, located near the market, and take some time to enjoy the beach and its surroundings.
Then, we go back to Ho Chi Minh city.
