DAY 1: CAI RANG FLOATING MARKET - SON ISLET COMMUNITY-BASED TOURISM IN CAN THO (B/L)
- 5am, take 2,5hrs drive to Mekong Delta. Leaving city behind, scenery changes to views of rice paddies, beautiful orchards by side of road
- 8am, arrive in floating market, enjoy breakfast, coffee on floating market. Meanwhile, you have the opportunity to dive into vibrant atmosphere of morning fair with welcoming laughter
- Continue to learn how locals make tradtional rice vermicelli. They are soft, flat, slippery, slightly chewy. Then, boat carries to another place to enjoy pineapple that is fresh, delicious
- 10am, visit colorful floating market check-out, disembark before exploring Son islet - an islet in middle of Hau River. Get experience in islet where you will visit a floating fish farm on Hau River. Do not forget to check-in “Foot massage with Koi fish”
- Walk around Son islet among 80 households to experience picking the fruit, enjoy it from trees when you visit the garden. Don’t miss monkey bridge!
- You also have the opportunity to make traditional cakes, pop rice by yourself
- It’s a good idea, very meaningful with flying menu. Flying menu” is a unique style of Son islet, each family will prepare one dish and serve it all to you, benefits from community-based tourism will be shared, filled with inhabitants.
- 12pm, have lunch with many specialties on this islet.
- 6pm, arrive in hotel. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh city.
DAY 2: BLACK VIRGIN MOUNTAIN – CAO DAI TEMPLE – CU CHI TUNNELS (B/L)
- Breakfast at hotel. 6:45 - 7am, we pick you up from your hotel, proceed to Black Virgin Mountain, approximately 3.5hrs to Northeast of Tay Ninh. Ba-Den Mountain is a definite must see for you to Tay Ninh. Modern European cable car system, which take you swiftly to top of mountain, where you see the highest Buddah statue with bronze in Vietnam. Nice complex at top, statues, water features, flower gardens...This is a nice complex at top, statues, water features, flower gardens...It's a great view of the wide river, city, landscape below.
- After mountain top, you take cable car down to bottom of mountain, where your coach moves to Cao Dai Temple for midday service which was unbelievable here - do not miss this!
- Lunch at restaurant.
- 3pm, visit Cu Chi tunnel. Once in Vietnam, you must visit this spot. This is where guerilla warfare optimized, exemplified. You’ll learn clever design of tunnels, strategic use of trap doors. Even with B52 bombers dropping 30-ton loads of explosive, turning jungle into a pockmarked moonscape, 30 thousand American troops failed to conquered area! You’ll have a chance to crawl around a portion of 121km long, multiple-layered tunnel. You’ll learn how thousands of guerillas managed to stay underground many days at a time, also their great technique to conceal smoke from their cooking. There’re a lot more to enjoy, even a chance to fire real AK bullets…
- 4:30pm, back to Ho Chi Minh city. Finish tour at around 7pm.
