Night 1: Hanoi - Ha Giang City
The bus picks up from your hotel/hostel in Hanoi Old Quarter around 7:30pm to 8:00pm. You will arrive at Ha Giang around 4:00 am and check in at Hong Hao hostel for a few hours before starting.
Day 1: Ha Giang City - Quan Ba - Yen Minh - Dong Van Town (135 km)
Let’s start your day with breakfast at Hong Hao Hostel. And then, meet your guide and begin the loop.
First, visit Bắc Sum Pass, known for its terraced rice fields, towering mountains, lush valleys, and winding roads. Then, head to Quan Ba Heaven Gate for panoramic views of the region, followed by the Quan Ba Twin Mountains, a great photo spot surrounded by lush fields. Next, visit Can Ty Pass, another breathtaking location. Here, you will drive through winding mountain roads surrounded by towering limestone cliffs. Enjoy a well-deserved lunch in Yen Minh Town before continuing the journey. After lunch in Yen Minh Town, continue to Tham Ma Pass, offering stunning views. Then, visit the Hmong King's Palace, a cultural site with insights into the region’s history. In the evening, check in at your hotel in Dong Van Town, enjoy dinner, and free walk around Dong Van Ancient Town.
Day 2: Dong Van Town - Ma Pi Leng Pass - Meo Vac - Du Gia Village
Begin the day with breakfast in Dong Van Town (on the weekend visit the Dong Van Sunday Market).
The first highlight of the day is Ma Pi Leng Pass, one of Vietnam’s most famous and beautiful mountain passes. You'll stop at various points to admire the sheer cliffs and deep valleys. Next, enjoy a boat trip on the Nho Que River, which flows through the region and offers a unique way to take in the surrounding natural beauty. Have lunch in Meo Vac or Mau Due Village before heading to the next destination. In the afternoon, get on the bike again and head to Du Gia Village, passing through Sa Li Pass, the Lung Ho Viewpoint for more spectacular panoramic views and stopping at Du Gia waterfall. Upon arrival at Du Gia Village, you’ll be checked in homestay of the Tay ethnic and have dinner at the homestay
Day 3: Du Gia Village - Lung Tam Village - Ha Giang City
Start the day with breakfast at the homestay with mountain views. If it's Saturday, visit Du Gia Market, where local ethnic minorities trade goods. Next, enjoy the Duong Thuong Viewpoint for more scenic views, then head to Lung Tam Village, famous for its traditional hemp weaving. Learn about the craft and how locals create intricate textiles. After lunch in Tam Son Town, continue back to Ha Giang City and finish the motorbike tour at Hong Hao Hostel by 3:30 pm.
Night 4: Ha Giang City - Hanoi
At 7:20 pm, you will board the bus back to Hanoi. You will arrive in Hanoi by 3:00 am the next day. We also have the buses at 4.00 p.m (VIP/Limousine bus); 5.00 p.m (Single Cabin Bus). If you wish to change buses, inform the guide or receptionist at Hong Hao Hostel.
