Meet just a short walk from the centre of Oxford and start your guided tour discovering all about Jericho, a vibrant and historic place located just northwest of the city center. Known for its charming streets and picturesque architecture, it’s one of the oldest neighbourhoods, with a history dating back to the 12th century.

Home of The Oxford University Press, visit University buildings old and new including the Radcliffe Infirmary, The Blavatnik Building and see the University’s most ambitious project to date. Visit St Barnabus Church and discuss The Oxford Movement, instigators of Oxford’s anglo-catholic revival in the 1800s.

Take a walk and talk along the Oxford Canal, opened in 1790, and onto Port Meadow, the largest common land in Oxford alongside The River Thames. It’s one of the most stunning places in the whole of the city - it has a rich history dating back to ancient times and has been a common grazing ground since the Middle Ages, containing interesting historical features.

There will be the opportunity to take lunch (or just a drink) at The Perch, a hidden gem by the river that combines the charm of a classic British pub with open fires and stunning natural surroundings. A pub with a storied past, dating back to the 17th century, the character and history are palpable as you enjoy your time in a setting steeped in tradition.

Then, it’s a short 20-minute walk back into town along the river.
