Day 1: Arrival and Exploration in Semuliki National Park

Arrive at Entebbe International Airport or another entry point, and transfer to Semuliki National Park. This usually involves a drive of about 6-7 hours from Kampala. Check into your accommodation near Semuliki National Park. Options include lodges or campsites in or around the park. Enjoy a meal at your lodge or camp. Explore the park’s unique features with a guided nature walk or a visit to the Semuliki Hot Springs, where you can see the natural geothermal activity in the area. Return to your lodge for dinner. If available, embark on a night game drive to see nocturnal animals and experience the park's nighttime ambiance.

Day 2: Transfer to Kibale National Park and Chimpanzee Tracking

Enjoy an early breakfast at your lodge. Drive to Kibale National Park, which takes approximately 3-4 hours from Semuliki. The drive is scenic and takes you through lush landscapes and local villages. Check into your accommodation in or near Kibale National Park. Options include lodges and campsites. Have lunch at your lodge or a nearby restaurant. In the afternoon, go on a chimpanzee tracking experience. Kibale is famous for its large population of chimpanzees, and tracking them offers an exciting opportunity to observe their behavior in the wild. Return to your lodge for dinner and relax after your adventurous day.

Day 3: Nature Walk and Departure

Enjoy breakfast at your lodge. Take a guided nature walk in Kibale National Park, exploring other primates and the park’s rich flora. The Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, located just outside the park, offers excellent bird watching and a chance to see additional wildlife. Have lunch at your lodge or a nearby restaurant. Begin your drive back to Entebbe or your next destination. Depending on your flight schedule.
