The lunar landscape and animal-shaped rocks of the Dervent Valley reveal at once why the landscape is often called "Imagination Valley." Visit Pasabag's "fairy chimneys," and listen as the voice of the wind harmonizes with the songs of the fairies to produce sounds unlike any you've heard before. Explore the Avanos center of terracotta art and stroll through its charming old town made of cobbled streets, enjoying views over the serene river and paying a visit to the town's ceramic and tile center to witness how ceramics are made by hand.
After a short lunch break, visit the famous Open Air Museum to see the best examples of Byzantine art in Cappadocia and to discover how the people of Goreme used the soft rocks of the region to form houses, churches, and monasteries.
