Day 1: Momella to Miriakamba
Distance: 10 km
Hiking Time: 4-6 hours
Our journey starts from your lodging towards Momella Gate in Arusha National Park, where we complete the required formalities before commencing the trek. The trail leads through open grasslands with an armed ranger accompanying us, offering the chance to spot various wildlife such as giraffes, zebras, antelopes, elephants, and buffaloes. As we ascend steadily through the lush rainforest, we arrive at Miriakamba Huts, nestled in a serene grassy clearing.

Day 2: Miriakamba to Saddle Hut
- Distance: 8 km
-Hiking Time: 3-5 hours
On the second day of our Best 3 Days, Mount Meru Climbing We continue climbing through the rainforest until we enter the heath zone accompanied by giant heather and other moorland vegetation. Along the ridge of the saddle, we have views of Mount Meru Crater and the Ash Pit. After arriving at Saddle Huts, there is an option to hike to the top of Little Mount Meru for superb views and to further aid in acclimatization.

Day 3: Saddle-Summit-Momella Gate
We start early at around 1:30 am to climb steeply to Rhino Point (3,800 m.) and onto Cobra Point (4350m). We reach the summit (4,566 m) on time for sunrise there is a possibility to see Kilimanjaro Peak above the clouds. The final part of the climb is along a spectacular narrow ridgeline between the sheer inner cliffs and the sloping outer wall of the crater. We take a short rest and brunch at Saddle Hut before continuing the descent to Momela gate. Then drop back to the arranged hotel.
