6 Days Kilimanjaro climbing via Machame route

The Machame route is a popular and scenic path to summit Mount Kilimanjaro, typically completed in 6 days.
Day 1: Machame Gate to Machame Camp
Commence your adventure at Machame Gate, where you'll register and meet your guides and porters. Trek through lush rainforest, encountering diverse flora and fauna along the way. After approximately 5-7 hours of hiking, arrive at Machame Camp (3,010 meters) for overnight stay.

Day 2: Machame Camp to Shira Camp
Leave the rainforest behind and ascend into the moorland zone. Traverse rocky terrain and cross picturesque valleys on your way to Shira Camp (3,840 meters). Enjoy stunning views of Kilimanjaro's glaciers during the 4-6 hour hike.

Day 3: Shira Camp to Barranco Camp
Embark on a challenging day, ascending to Lava Tower (4,630 meters) before descending to Barranco Camp (3,950 meters). Traverse rocky ridges, acclimatizing to the altitude, and enjoy panoramic vistas. Spend the night at Barranco Camp.

Day 4: Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp
Conquer the iconic Barranco Wall, admiring sweeping views as you climb. Traverse alpine desert terrain en route to Karanga Camp (3,995 meters). Today's hike is shorter, allowing time for rest and acclimatization.

Day 5: Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp, then Summit Uhuru Peak
Ascend to Barafu Camp (4,640 meters), your last base before the summit push. Trek across a barren landscape, feeling the altitude's effects. Arrive at Barafu Camp in the afternoon, rest, and prepare for the summit bid. Start the pre-dawn trek to Uhuru Peak, reaching the summit (5,895 meters) at sunrise. Descend to Mweka Camp for overnight rest.

Day 6: Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate, then Return to Moshi
Descend further to Mweka Gate (1,630 meters), where you'll receive certificates of achievement. Celebrate your accomplishment before returning to Moshi, where you can reflect on your incredible journey and enjoy a well-deserved rest.
