AMAZING 8 DAYS IN TARANGIRE– SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK ITINERARY

DAY 1: Arrival in Arusha Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be greeted by your guide and transferred to your accommodation in Arusha. This day is primarily for rest and acclimatization after your journey. Depending on your arrival time, you may have the opportunity to explore the vibrant city of Arusha, visit local markets, or enjoy a meal at a traditional restaurant. Overnight stay in Arusha prepares you for the adventure ahead.

DAY 2: Tarangire National Park After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, known for its large elephant herds and iconic baobab trees. The drive takes approximately two hours. Upon arrival, embark on a game drive where you can spot elephants, lions, giraffes, and various bird species.

DAY 3: Tarangire National Park Spend another full day in Tarangire National Park. You can choose between morning and afternoon game drives or opt for a guided walking safari to experience the park from a different perspective. The diverse ecosystems provide opportunities to see wildlife up close while learning about their habitats from knowledgeable guides. Return to your accommodation for dinner and relaxation under the stars.

DAY 4: Ngorongoro Crater After breakfast, leave Tarangire behind and travel towards Ngorongoro Crater, one of the most famous wildlife conservation areas in Tanzania. The journey takes about four hours with scenic views along the way. Upon reaching Ngorongoro Conservation Area, descend into the crater floor for an unforgettable game drive where you can see black rhinos, zebras, wildebeests, and more.

DAY 5: Serengeti National Park Depart early in the morning after breakfast for Serengeti National Park via a scenic route through Ngorongoro Highlands. The drive takes approximately three hours before entering Serengeti’s vast plains known for their incredible wildlife diversity.

DAY 6: Serengeti National Park Dedicate this day entirely to exploring Serengeti National Park with morning and afternoon game drives scheduled throughout the day. Your guide will share insights about animal behavior and ecology during these excursions. Return to your accommodation for dinner and rest.

DAY 7: Serengeti National Park Continue your adventure with another full day in Serengeti National Park focusing on different areas of interest based on previous sightings or specific wildlife targets like leopards or hippos at nearby water sources. After an exciting day of exploration, return to your lodge/camp for dinner.

DAY 8: Departure On your final day, enjoy breakfast before departing from Serengeti back towards Arusha (approximately six hours). Depending on flight schedules, you may have time for last-minute shopping or sightseeing in Arusha before being transferred back to Kilimanjaro International Airport for departure.
