01. What happens on a typical day on Morning or Afternoon Safari?
A. Pick-up time at 4.30 a.m. - in and around Koggala/ Ahangama/ Weligama/ Mirissa/ Matara/ Dondra/ Talalle area. All pick up times - (Morning or Full Day Safari - 4.30 a.m./ 5.00 a.m./ Afternoon Safari - 12.00 p.m./ 12.30 p.m.)
Adjust the times in the itinerary according to the pickup time.
B. Get down from the transfer vehicle and get into the Safari vehicle - at Udawalawe at around 6.45 a.m.
C. Wildlife safari/ game drive (7.00 a.m. - 10.00 a.m.)
D. Break at Udawalawe (20-30 minutes)
This will give you time to enjoy your breakfast
(You can additionally buy breakfast from us - USD 8 Per Person)
E. Visit the Feeding time of the Elephant Transit Home (Feeding times are at 10.30 a.m. - morning / 2.30 p.m. - Afternoon)
Get the experience of feeding the adorable baby elephants.
F. Get down from the Safari Vehicle and get into the transfer vehicle (Air-conditioned Car/ Mini Van) - at Udawalawe at around 11.00 a.m.
G. You may be able to witness the wild elephants by the side of the road while passing the Lahugala area
H. Drop-off time at around 3.00 p.m. - any hotel in and around Arugambay area.
In the Morning Safari, we first visit the Udawalawa National Park, but in the Afternoon Safari, we first visit the Elephant Transit Home. So, adjust the itinerary accordingly.
02. What happens on a typical day on a Full-day Safari?
A. Details related to Pickup time and duration to transfer are same as above.
B. Get into the Safari vehicle - at Udawalawe at around 6.45 a.m.
C. 1st Game Drive (7.00 a.m. to 10.00 a.m.)
D. Break at Udawalawe (20-30 minutes)
This will give you time to enjoy your breakfast

E. 2nd Game Drive (10.30 a.m. to 1.00 p.m.)
F. Lunch Break (1.00 p.m. to 2.00 p.m.)

H. Get into the transfer vehicle - at Udawalawe at around 6.00 p.m.

Please be informed that the entrance fees for the Udawalawe National Park and Elephant Transit Home are not included in this package.
Fees must be paid in cash in Sri Lankan Rupees (There are no facilities at present at the Udawalawe National Park and Elephant Transit Home entrances to make cash payments in foreign currencies)
To run the safari operation financially smoothly, it requires a payment of at least two adults for every booking.
The children aged 5 or below will be given the chance to ride the safari free of charge. Only 50% of the price will be charged for children above 5 and below 12 years old. (Letting the future guardians of the planet Earth take their first steps in experiencing to be aligned with nature)
Children below 12 years must be accompanied by an adult.
Our driver will come to pick you up from the hotels in and around the Koggala/ Ahangama/ Weligama/ Mirissa/ Matara/ Dondra/ Talalla area. Pick up vehicle will be an air-conditioned car or mini van. Pick up times will be (Morning Safari or Full Day - 4.30 a.m./ 5.00 a.m. / Afternoon Safari - 12.00 p.m./ 12.30 p.m.) The time will be slightly adjusted depending on the location of your hotel and the locations of other guests' hotels who are going to share the safari with you. Sometimes, management of the hotels assign a location within the hotel premises other than the lobby area, for guests to be picked up by the drivers. Please communicate beforehand with the hotel staff and get to know the location, if not, the driver and you will be waiting for each other in two different locations.
