Your tour will begin with a convenient hotel pick-up from your accommodation in Kandy. Meet your guide/driver, who will provide a brief overview of the day’s itinerary.

Once at the Damro Labookellie Tea Centre, your guide will take you on a fascinating tour of the tea factory. You’ll learn about the full tea-making process, from the plucking of the leaves to the rolling, fermenting, and drying stages. The factory is known for producing high-quality Ceylon Tea, so you will also gain insight into the different types of tea, including black, green, and white tea.

After the tour, enjoy a traditional tea tasting session, where you can sample a range of freshly brewed Ceylon teas. The tasting is accompanied by an explanation of the different types of tea and their health benefits.

After the factory visit, you will have time to wander through the lush Labookellie Tea Garden. The estate’s sprawling green fields offer stunning views of the surrounding mountains, valleys, and other tea estates.

Next, drive to the Blue Field Tea Factory. You will witness the processing of fresh tea leaves into the high-quality tea bags and loose tea sold globally. After lunch, you will continue your journey towards the Ramboda Waterfall, a majestic 109-meter high waterfall located on the Pundaluoya-Nuwara Eliya Road. The drive is a scenic one, with winding roads that offer beautiful views of the tea plantations and lush green hills. Ramboda is one of Sri Lanka’s most beautiful waterfalls, surrounded by tropical forests and verdant tea gardens. You’ll have the opportunity to walk through the lush greenery and take photos of this spectacular natural attraction.

After visiting the waterfall, you will begin your return journey to Kandy. The drive through the hill country will continue to offer stunning views of tea estates, mountains, and valleys.
