Start the day with a visit to Sigiriya, an ancient rock fortress located in the northern Matale District near the town of Dambulla in the Central Province, Sri Lanka. It is a site of historical and archaeological significance that is dominated by a massive column of granite approximately 180 m high.

Next, visit the Dambulla cave temple, also known as the Golden Temple of Dambulla, a World Heritage Site in Sri Lanka, situated in the central part of the country. This site is situated 148 kilometers east of Colombo, 72 kilometers north of Kandy, and 43 kilometers north of Matale.

Then, head to the village of Nilagama, only a few miles from the Galewela Town. Spend time with the villagers and understand village life. Engage in many village activities that form everyday life, such as an oxen cart ride, a catamaran ride, and a walk through the fields.
