When booking, you pay ONLY FOR THE SAFARI through GetYourGude. Then PAY FOR THE TAXI (From Mirissa to Tissamaharama and From Tissamaharama to Ella) US$-72 (up to 3 guests) with Visa/ Master or SL Rupees at Ajith Safari Office in Tissamaharam, before starting the Safari. Beyond 3 guests, TAXI FEE will be increased, US$36 Per Person.
In this tour, we are aiming to be in the YALA National Park at dawn or dusk. These are two of the best times of the day, which gives you the highest chance of spotting the elusive Sri Lankan leopards, which is a leopard subspecies native to Sri Lanka. YALA is recognized as the National Park with the highest leopard density in the world.
What happens on a typical day on safari?
A. Pick-up time at 3.30 a.m. - in and around the Koggala/ Ahangama/ Weligama/ Mirissa/ Matara/ Dondra/ Talalle area.
All pick up times - (Morning Safari - 3.30 a.m. / 4.00 a.m./ 4.30 a.m./ 5.00 a.m./ 5.30 a.m./ 6.00 a.m./ Afternoon Safari 11.30 a.m.)
Earliest time in the Morning Safari (3.30 a.m.) is the most recommended.
Adjust the times in the itinerary according to the pickup time you selected. The Taxi is an Air-conditioned car or minivan & on SHARING BASIS.
B. Get down from the Taxi at Tissamaharama.
Make the payment for the Taxi at Ajith Safari Jeep Tours Office.
Get into the SHARED SAFARI VEHICLE - at around 5.30 a.m.
You can leave your luggage in the Taxi while you are going on the Safari.
Here, there's 30 minutes break in Afternoon Safari for you to have lunch.

C. Morning Wildlife Safari/ 1st Game Drive (Starting at 6.00 a.m.)
D. Break at Patanangala Beach in YALA National Park (20-30 minutes)
This will give you time to enjoy your breakfast

E. Morning Wildlife Safari/ 2nd Game Drive (Ending at around 9.30 a.m.)
F. Get down from the safari vehicle and get into the Taxi - at Tissamaharama at around 10.00 a.m.
G. Optional - If you prefer, take a 20-minutes break Near Rawana-Ella waterfall, on the way to Ella. (Free of charge) If you get down from Wellawaya, you will not see the waterfall.
H. Drop-off in Ella/ Bandarawela/ Wellawaya area at around 12.00 p.m.
Your safety and comfort is our top priority, so we use only the rugged Toyota Hilux 4x4 vehicles for the safari, specially equipped to navigate the YALA National Park's diverse off-road conditions easily.
Your knowledgeable driver cum guide will regale you with insights into the behaviours and habitats of YALA's diverse wildlife.

Ajith Safari Jeep Tours has been a safari operator for more than 30 years and also an authorized company to offer safari services in YALA National Park, all of our 4X4 vehicles have the necessary approvals and all of our drivers have the special licenses to provide their service as safari drivers in the YALA National Park, which are issued by the Department of Wildlife Conservation in Sri Lanka.

Please be informed that the entrance fee for the YALA National Park, the Fee for the Taxi, and the Price of Meals are not included in this Tour package.
You need to pay the Taxi Fee and for Meals (if requested) at the Ajith Safari Office (By Sri Lankan Rupees, USD, Euro or by a Visa/ Master) before the start of the Safari.
Pay the Entrance Fee at YALA entrance by cash in Sri Lankan Rupees or through a credit card. (There is no facility at present at the YALA National Park entrance to make cash payments in foreign currencies)
To run the safari operation financially smoothly, it requires at least a payment of two guests per booking.
Only 50% of the price of an adult will be charged for children above 5 and below 12 years old. The children aged 5 or below will be given the chance to ride the safari free of charge. (Letting the future guardians of the planet Earth take their first steps in experiencing to be aligned with nature)
Children below 12 years must be accompanied by an adult.
Our driver will come to pick you up from the hotels in and around the Koggala/ Ahangama/ Weligama/ Mirissa/ Matara/ Dondra/ Talalla areas. Pick up vehicle will be an air-conditioned car or mini van. Pick up times will be (Morning Safari - Every half an hour between 3.30 a.m. and 6.00 a.m./ Afternoon Safari - 11.30 a.m.) The time will be slightly adjusted depending on the location of your hotel and the locations of other guests' hotels who are going to SHARE the safari with you. Sometimes, management of the hotels assign a location within the hotel premises other than the lobby area, for guests to be picked up by the drivers. Please communicate beforehand with the hotel staff and get to know the location, if not, the driver and you will be waiting for each other in two different locations.
