Visit Dambulla ancient caves, go by village ferry to visit the village Kitchen for lunch & cooking demo. Return from the village by Tuk-tuk to do a safari game drive for Elephants!
You'll be picked up from your hotel in Negombo @ 8.00 AM. You'll drive 2.5 hours to arrive at Dambulla cave temple; the visit will be about 45 minutes with an easy climb to the top of Dambulla rock. *It's optional to take a coffee/drink break half way through the journey.
Then you will drive another 30 minutes to Habarana village. Then you'll go by a cart to the river and cross the river by ferry to go to the Village kitchen. There you'll participate in the interactive demonstration with the ladies and enjoy a delicious rice and curry lunch cooked then and there.
You'll then exit the village by a tuk-tuk and take the Safari jeep to go to the Safari park (The park will depend on the time of the year, it can be Minneriya, Kaudulla or Eco park). You will do a game drive for Elephants in the park and return back to the car.
Your drive back home will be about 3 hours but you can take a proper coffee/drink break half way through the return journey.
