On a sightseeing tour of the city, drive through the picturesque premises of the University of Peradeniya, around the Lake built in 1807 which is an attractive centerpiece to the town with antique shops and bustling marketplaces.
Then, drive along the Upper Lake road to get a panoramic view of Kandy Lake. Enjoy lunch in a local restaurant. Visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic, also called “Sri Dalada Maligawa,” which has become an icon of Kandy and Sri Lanka with its remains and the prime landmark.
