Discover the beauty of the Mediterranean Gardens of L'Albarda and the bustling sea port of Denia on a day trip from Costa Blanca.
Immerse yourself in a parallel world at the Mediterranean Gardens of “L’Albarda”. Sprawling over 50,000 m2 with more than 700 species of plants as well as a wide collection of roses and palms, this botanical paradise is the perfect place to spend a morning at any time of the year and indulge yourself in its everchanging, living beauty. The gardens, created in 1990 show the great richness of the flora linked to the mediterranean climate. In addition to its great botanical biodiversity, L’Albarda has a formal garden and wild garden, creating the image of the old Valencian renaissance gardens influenced by the past Arab culture.

After the visit to the gardens, head to the bustling sea port at the town of Denia. Here you will have time for lunch, whether it be overlooking the port with its array of yachts and motor boats, or you may wish to wander through the pedestrianised streets of the old town that lead up to the Castle. Entrance to the castle is not included, but can be bought on the day for just a few euros and it is definitely worth a visit.

Denia has evolved through the years from its Roman settlement roots, through the Muslim inhabitation, to its conquest by Cristian King, James II in 1304 and stands today as gem in the crown of the Valencia community. A gateway to the Balearic Islands that can be seen on the horizon on a clear day.

What to expect:
Once everyone is onboard, accompanied by an English-speaking representative, we head northward along the Mediterranean motorway, turning in at Ondara and making our way up to the stunning Mediterranean Gardens of L’Albarda. Your visit here will last around 1:30 hours. There are toilet facilities at the gardens plus somewhere to a drink and a slice of a fresh homemade cake. After the gardens our journey into Denia will take around 20 minutes. In Denia you will have 2:15 to enjoy everything this cosmopolitan town has to offer before making our way back.
