A lifetime encounter with the mountain Gorillas of the Virunga. An hour with these elusive gentle giants in their natural homes up in the Volcanoes NP is a memorable once a lifetime adventure.
Your Safari will start in Kigali to the Volcanoes NP in the Virunga ranges where these Mountain Gorillas that share more than 98% of their DNA with humans reside.
A 2hr drive to the park through some of the most picturesque and scenic countrysides will bring you to the Park headquarters where you will get assigned a Gorilla Family to Track for the Day then briefing and off you go into the Jungle. You will spend approximately 1 hour with these gentle giants as they feed, socialize and start their day. Later you have lunch and drive back to Kigali marking the end of your safari with us.
