Encounters with gorillas as they go about their daily lives are carefully managed, with expert trackers and guides leading small groups of tourists up bamboo-covered slopes to spend a precious and awe- inspiring hour just a few feet away from the gentle creatures.
Today you will leave Kigali in the wee hours of the morning, 4:30am with a packed breakfast and drive straight to Volcanoes National park headquarters. Once you have been placed in a group of 8 you will start your hike.
After the trek you will head to Amikus Hotel to shower, freshen up and have a nice hotel lunch, while your shoes are cleaned. Then head back to Kigali and share your experience with friends.
