8-Day Rwanda, Uganda & Congo (DRC) Gorilla Trekking Trip

Gorilla trekking is one of Africa’s greatest wildlife encounters & considered a unique African adventure. It offers magically beautiful & soul-changing encounters with these incredible gentle giants.
Day 1;
Kigali - Nyunge National Park.
After an early morning breakfast at your residence or at your hotel, your guide will meets & greets and do the chimpanzee $ lowland Gorilla Trekking briefing. You will then visit the Kigali genocide museum to pay your last respects for the victims of 1994 Rwanda Genocide against Tutsi and this will be followed by a transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park. Overnight at  Ken Barham Guesthouse or similar.

Day 2;
Chimpanzee Tracking & Canopy Walk, Nyungwe NP. 
At 04:30am an early morning breakfast or order packed breakfast & this will be followed by meeting with the ranger guide at Gisakura & then transfer to Cyamudongo & or Uwinka visitors center to begin with chimpanzee tracking & subsequently there will be a canopy walk that starts at Uwinka visitors center and then transfer to Lake Kivu, Cyangungu. Overnight at Peace Guesthouseor similar.

Day 3;
Lowland Gorilla Trekking Kahuzi Biega NP, Congo (DRC) from Rusiizi, Rwanda 
After an early morning breakfast, be prepared with your passport to go crossing the border at Rusizi (1) & proceed to kahuzi Biega NP to participate on the lowland Gorilla Tracking on arrival. Once you find them you’ll be allowed to stay with them for an hour & after the experience transfer back to Bukavu & or to Rwanda. Overnight at Nediva Bed & Breakfast in Congo (DRC) or similar

Day 4;
Kahuzi Biega NP, Congo (DRC)- Volcanoes NP, Rwanda.
After an early breakfast, begin the journey by the lakeside to the stunning Virunga mountains that stretches the borders of Rwanda, Uganda & Congo (DRC) home to half the population of Mountain Gorillas. Volcanoes NP, Rwanda is believed to be one of the best place for trekking gorillas with the price of the trekking ticket doubling other sites for gorilla trekking. Lunch will be enroute at lake kivu before checking inn into the volcanoes NP. Overnight at the Garden Place Hotel or similar.

Day 5;
Optional Rwanda Mountain Gorilla Trekking Volcanoes NP
A 2nd Gorilla Trekking ticket at additional cost of $1,500 is required & or participate in the alternative included Bosoke Volcano Hike. 
Overnight at Garden Place Hotel or similar.  

Day 6;
Golden Monkey Trekking Volcanoes NP, Rwanda - Bwindi/Mgahinga Gorilla NP, Uganda. 
After an early breakfast, return to Volcanoes NP headquarters at Kinigi a head of the Golden Monkey Trekking. Golden Monkey trekking can be predetermined to be before midday or latest 1pm & thereafter transfer to Bwindi/Mgahinga Gorilla NP a head of your 2nd Mountain Gorilla Trekking uganda. Overnight at Travelers Rest Hotel or similar.

Day 7;
Optional Uganda Gorilla Trekking experience Bwindi/Mgahinga Gorilla NP. 
An optional 3rd  Gorilla trekking ticket is required & costs add-on $800, alternatively you’ll go for Sabyinyo Volcano Hike. Overnight at Travelers Rest Hotel or Similar. 

Day 8;
Mgahinga Gorilla NP, Uganda - Kigali, Rwanda 
A leisurely breakfast will be followed by transfer back to Kigali marking the end of the trip.
