Porto: Jewish Heritage Private Tour by Tuk Tuk

Join a private guided tour of Porto to discover the city's Jewish heritage, visit the Holocaust Museum, stroll through the gardens, and discover viewpoints with a mix of Tuk Tuk rides and short walks.
We'll start our Tuk Tuk experience visiting the Porto Cathedral, a 12th century building with a mix of architectural styles, dating back to the medieval origins of Porto, here we also see the Sé Neighborhood, which surrounds the cathedral and is the oldest in town, while remaining faithful to Porto's traditions and customs.

We will walk by the Sé Neighborhood and see where the Jews used to live with the Christian community, while we discover the oldest Jews Synagoge in the town (the actual São Lourenço Church, build in the XVI century) and some of the marks that they left in our city.

After this we will pass by the "Comércio" Street where the Jews had a secret Synagoge, inside an old store.

Then we head to Miragaia Neighborhood to explore and discover the second Jews quarter that was built by the richest Jews, and they used to live here in the XIV century.

We continue to Virtudes Viewpoint to see where the Jews used to have their old cementery.

Our next stop will be at the Vitória Neighborhood, the main Jews quarter in the city. This was built in XIV century and the Jews used to live here until the inquisition.

We'll explore some Landmarks and also discover a secret synagogue, that was just found in this century.

Then we're heading to the Holocaust Museum, a museum about the jews. This museum intends to honor the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance of which Portugal is a member, as well as sharing with society in general documents and objects left by refugees in the Porto Synagogue during World War II.

Our last stop will be at the Synagogue Kadoorie - Mekor Haim. You will be able to see this important and impressive construction by outside.
