Be picked up early in the morning from your accommodation in Funchal or Canico. Sit back and relax in a spacious minivan as you ride through the countryside to Pico Do Arieiro, the 3rd highest mountain on the Island. Hike to the top before sunrise and take in the myriad of colors that paint the sky.
Take your time as you walk and set your own pace or join others in the group. It takes 4 and a half hours to complete the hike but it can take longer depending on the agility level of the person. Travel from Pico Do Arieiro to Pico Ruivo, the highest mountain on Madeira Island with 1862 meters of altitude.
Keep an eye out for vibrantly colored birds as you walk above the clouds. Pass thorugh tunnels and go up the famed Stairway to Heaven path. Continue on to Achada Do Teixeira where you can board the minivan for the ride back to your accommodation.

• If you are staying in some other area and want to book this service, make sure you can arrive at Funchal city center by bus or car on time and the provider provide transfers from an agreed upon place in Funchal
The activity provider will notify you of your exact time of pickup 1 day before your transfer in the evening, through WhatsApp or email.
For logistical and timing reasons, the provider is not able to pickup/drop off in other areas than the ones listed above.
If you come by rented car, it is recommended to go to the parking “Parque 2000,” as it is the cheapest and most convenient place to park. In this case the activity provider will pick you up and drop you off there.
