After being picked up from your hotel in Lagos, arrive at Monchique and begin your guided walk in the village. Lose yourself in the quaint streets and alleys, and admire the orange-roofed buildings and skirted chimneys.
Head beyond the village and see the farmhouses and vegetable gardens of the countryside. Make a stop at a local distillery to try the famous local drink, medronho, made from the fruit of the medronheiro (strawberry tree).
