Binindo or Manila's China Town tour is the considered to be the oldest China town in the world.
Established in 1594, Binondo as a settlement, is more than 400 years old!
The tour starts in Sta Cruz Church. From this church, we will cross to the Ongpin Street where several restaurants await us. Taste the original Lumpiang Shanghai or Fresh spring rolls. Of course, we will never miss the Siopao ( Buns will pork filling). Try the siomai or dumplings. Let's have a dessert - egg tarts. Eng Bee Tin, the number one hopia ( moon cake) maker awaits us.
Let's enter the Binondo Church and discover how the Chinese community embraced Catholicism. Stroll on the Binondo Plaza and pay tribute to the Filipino Chinese martyrs during the Second World War.
