Start with pickup from your hotel in Chachapoyas and head south to Nuevo Tingo. Take a cable car to the mountaintop city of Kuélap, located in the Andes Mountains. Admire the 20-meter-high stone wall surrounded by cliffs and jungle as you ascend.
Arrive at the mountaintop and explore the ancient city. Wander through the narrow passageways and admire the circular buildings. See the Torreón, the Tintero, and the Castillo.
