Explore the floating islands of the indigenous Uros people, then sail across Lake Titicaca to Taquile Island and meet the local people to learn more about their experiences.
The tour begins when our transportation picks you up at your hotel and sets off on a journey across Lake Titicaca. Our bilingual tour guide will accompany you during the excursion to the floating island of the Uros and to the island of Taquile, across the highest navigable lake in the world. The Uros are a set of artificial islands whose infrastructures are made entirely of tortora, it is home to communities that date back to pre-Incan times. After enjoying Los Uros with the local population, we will sail to Taquile, an island whose customs are more closely related to the Aymara people of Bolivia. There you will enjoy a locally prepared lunch on the island before visiting the local cooperative and seeing firsthand the skills of the local weavers. Afterwards, enjoy the stunning landscapes of the islands of Lake Titicaca and learn about the customs of the local communities, returning to Puno on a trip of more than an hour. At the end of the tour we will take you to your hotel if it is located in the city center.
