From Oxapampa | Full Day Tour to Pozuzo and Huancabamba

At 8:00 a.m. we will start our excursion from your hotel in Oxapampa, exploring the highlights of this province.

For two hours, we will enjoy the road trip through the rural landscapes of Oxapampa until we reach Huancabamba. Here, we will explore the local streets and parks before continuing our tour.

We will continue our journey to the well-known waterfalls of Rayantambo, Torrebamba and Yulitunqui, skirting the Yanachaga Chemillén National Park on the way to Pozuzo, the first Austro-German colony in Peru, founded in 1859 after the Peruvian government granted the land to the settlers.

In Pozuzo, we will visit the main square, the colonists' cemetery, the church of San José and the Emperor Wilhelm I bridge, highlighting the Germanic architectural influence present throughout the municipality. Afterwards, we will walk for 15 minutes to a viewpoint with a breathtaking view of the city.

Afterwards, we will head to the craft brewery Dörcher Bier for a beer tasting. After some free time to enjoy the local cuisine on your own, we will continue exploring the picturesque architectural designs of Pozuzo's neighbourhoods.

Finally, we will return to Oxapampa, making a stop at the natural pools of Guacamayo before arriving at your hotel at approximately 18:30.
