With this 8-day photography tour of Tambopata you will be able to immortalize the landscapes of the Peruvian Amazon with your camera. An essential route from Puerto Maldonado!
Day 1
After picking you up at the airport or at an agreed place in Puerto Maldonado, we will travel to the shores of Lake Sandoval. During the tour we will have the opportunity to photograph various native riverside birds up close.
The journey will conclude at the Tambopata accommodation where we will stay for the next few nights on a full board basis. You will have the rest of the day free to enjoy the facilities and gain strength for the next day.
Day 2
We will take advantage of the second day, after breakfast, to visit the farmers of Loero, a traditionally agricultural area. You will be able to take photographs of the farms and their animals, as well as the crop fields and the workers at work.
Day 3
This day we will have breakfast and head to the chestnut fields, where we will also enjoy a photographic tour in which you will be able to portray the cultivation of chestnuts.
Day 4
Today we will spend the day underground! We will descend to the gold mines of Tambopata so that you can take photographs of the mining activity. Click, click!
Day 5
After regaining our strength with breakfast, we will go out to look for native birds to immortalize them perched on the trees or in mid-flight. We will go to the so-called Tambopata Low Corridor, where we will find various viewpoints to see birds and a multitude of species.
Day 6
We will use the sixth day to immortalize the wild nature of the different Amazonian ecosystems. We will approach the secondary forest to look for species of flora and fauna, and we will also visit some agroforestry systems in the area to understand how they work and photograph them.
Day 7
On the last day of the circuit we will travel to the banks of the Tambopata and Madre de Dios rivers. Ready to embark on a canoe river trip? During the tour we will have the opportunity to photograph various riverside birds such as herons, parrots and macaws up close, before returning to the accommodation to pack our bags.
Day 8
We will say goodbye to the landscapes of Tambopata after breakfast and return to Puerto Maldonado. We will leave you at the airport three hours before the departure of your flight.
