The cenote of Chapalla is a wonderful, natural area that has left more than one impressed.
Pick up at the Plaza de Armas of Ayacucho at 06:50 a.m. Afterwards, we head towards the charming village of Carampa, with a brief stop along the way for those who wish to enjoy a delicious breakfast before continuing with the tour. After almost four hours of travel, we arrive at the impressive Chapalla Cenote.
From this point, we begin a hike of approximately 20 minutes to reach the cenote. Once there, we marvel at the view of this hole of about 50 meters in diameter, whose greenish waters create an unforgettable natural spectacle. This beautiful place undoubtedly offers breathtaking scenery.
Then, we head towards the fascinating caves of Anjaramachay, located a few minutes away from the cenote. Inside these caves, you can appreciate crystalline and turquoise waters, perfect for taking pictures. However, it is important to note that when entering the depth of the cave, you can feel the decrease of oxygen, so the entrance is only allowed up to a certain point of the cave.
At the end of this visit, we offer the option of having lunch (at an additional cost) and then we start our return trip. The tour ends at 6:00 pm.
