VISIT THE PARACAS NATIONAL RESERVE IN A MINI BUGGY

The minibuggy ride is a super fun activity, our starting point is Paracas. Then we each drive on four wheels towards the “Paracas National Reserve”.

Yumaque Beach: This small, protected crescent-shaped cove is approximately 2 km long. Its name comes from Quechua and means “Place where you take it out by hand”, as it is possible to extract small mollusks known as “palabritas”. The giant penguin, named Inkayacu Paracasensis in honor of the Paracas National Reserve, was discovered in this area.

“Playa Roja” Viewpoint: The reddish colour of the shore gives the place a unique beauty. This colour is due to its proximity to the Punta Santa María massif, formed by rocks that contain solidified magma inside. The action of the waves on the massif drags the reddish fragments of the rocks, which accumulate on the shore, thus giving rise to the name of the beach.

“Itmos Peninsula” Viewpoint: It is one of the main geographical features of the Peruvian coastline. It is surrounded by the waters of the Pacific Ocean on the coast of the province of Pisco, belonging to the department of Ica. Here we can observe the entire Paracas Bay.
