Explore the Vinicunca Mountain, also known as Rainbow Mountain, enjoy this adventure through the Peruvian Andes to a natural rainbow painted across the mountain ridges, a one-of-a-kind sight.
The day starts with pickup from hotel in Cusco around 04:00am . And head with private car to the start of the trail about 3 hours from Cusco to get Hanchipacha community where we are going to stop for breakfast. After that drive for about 15 minutes more to Quesiuno community (4,326 m / 14,189 ft.). From where the trek for about 2 hours approx. On the way up,enjoy amazing landscapes of herds of alpacas and llamas, the Ausangate Mountain, many red mountains and traditional local houses.
Finally reach the Rainbow Mountains (5,020 m / 16,466 ft.), have time to explore the area and take pictures. Spend approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour (depend on trekking speed and weather conditions).
Start the hike back to the trailhead that take 1.30 hours approx. Then transportation to Hanchipacha community to have lunch and drive to Cusco, and drop off at accommodation in Cusco around 4pm.
