FromDay 1: Transfer from Cusco to Hydroelectric and hike from Hydroelectric to Aguas Calientes.

Our team will pick you up from your accommodation to begin the Machu Picchu by Car journey. First stop will be in Ollantaytambo for breakfast and restroom facilities. We'll continue on a road with numerous curves, passing through Abra Malaga at the highest point of 4300 meters altitude. Subsequently, we'll start the winding descent to reach the Hydroelectric station. After lunch and a brief rest, a three-hour walk along the train tracks will take us to Aguas Calientes, where we'll head to our assigned accommodation.

FromDay 2: Visit to Machu Picchu, hike from Aguas Calientes to Hydroelectric, and transfer from Hydroelectric to Cusco.

We'll rise early to ascend to the citadel by bus or a one-hour walk, meeting the guide for a 3-hour guided tour of Machu Picchu. After free exploration time, around noon, we'll hike three hours back to the Hydroelectric station. From here, our land transport will start the return journey to Cusco, making a stop in a village for food and restroom facilities before concluding the tour.

The route to Hydroelectric involves many curves and uneven terrain, which may pose challenges to some individuals.

FromVisit to the archaeological site:

To enter Machu Picchu, the ticket called Llaqta Machu Picchu is required. If you've chosen a ticketless program, it can be purchased at the Ministry of Culture site or in Machu Picchu, subject to availability.

The ticket grants access to one of the 5 circuits of the archaeological site, respecting the designated circuit and entry time:

Circuit 1: 3-hour tour covering the upper and lower parts, terraces, and platforms, known as the classic entrance.
Circuit 2: 4-hour tour covering the upper and lower parts, including routes to Inti Punku and the Inca Bridge.
Circuit 3: 1.5-hour tour covering the lower part, including agricultural areas, Temple of the Sun, House of the Inca, and access to Machu Picchu Mountain for a 2-hour ascent and descent (guide only accompanies in the lower part, not the mountain).
Circuit 4: 2.5-hour tour covering the lower part, including agricultural areas, Temple of the Sun, House of the Inca, Sacred Rock, water mirrors, and access to Wayna Picchu Mountain (guide only accompanies in the lower part, not the mountain).
Circuit 4: 2.5-hour tour covering the lower part, including agricultural areas, Temple of the Sun, House of the Inca, Sacred Rock, water mirrors, and access to Huchuy picchu Mountain (guide only accompanies in the lower part, not the mountain).

FromChoosing circuit 1 or 2 is recommended to explore the citadel, allowing visits to more attractions and capturing iconic photographs.
