During this 4-day tour you will explore what the Inca culture was like:
Day 1: You will leave the imperial city of Cusco to head towards the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Upon arrival we will enjoy a delicious breakfast buffet.
Then we will continue to Abra Malaga, where we will be the starting point for the bike tour, where the guide will give us some recommendations as well as we will be provided with the necessary equipment for the activity.
We start our descent by bike for about 3 hours until we reach the town of Huamanmarca.
During the trip we will experience the beauty of the snow-capped mountains and the tropical forest. It is here in the rainforest where our adventure in the Peruvian Amazon begins. You will cross small streams and enjoy the change from cold to tropical climate. Along the way we will stop several times to check bikes and equipment. You will arrive at the town of Santa Maria, where we will have lunch and spend our first night in a hotel. In the afternoon we have the option of rafting on the vilcanota river. this river offers category + rapids. for this activity you will be given helmets, windbreakers and life jackets. this activity is available between the months of April to December, and you must know how to swim to participate in accordance with Peruvian law. Day 2: We will enjoy a delicious breakfast and trek to Santa Teresa. The first two hours of our journey we will ascend the terrain. On the way we will have several stops to learn a little more about the rich flora and fauna of the area where we will be. We will also stop at the home of a local family, where we will learn about their customs and traditions. Later we will cross a stretch of the Inca trail that formerly connected the sacred city of Machu Picchu citadel with the last Inca refuge, Vilcabamba. Here our guide will explain a little more about the history of the Incas and also the Inca communication system (the route of the Incas). Then we will descend to the village of Quellomayo, where we will enjoy a delicious lunch and a relaxing rest in the hammocks of the restaurant. You will continue with the last two hours of our hike to reach the cocalmayo hot springs, where we will spend some time enjoying this charming place. when the whole group is ready, our private transportation will take you to the village of santa teresa, where we will spend our second night. Day 3: On the third day we will have the opportunity to do a zip line activity with one of the most trusted operators in the area. This activity is optional and lasts approximately two hours. You will take transportation to the hydroelectric plant, where the government control and entrance to the Machu Picchu National Park (Machu Picchu Historic Sanctuary) is located. Day 4: The group will wake up early to head to Machu Picchu, following an ascending route through the high forest, where we will be able to see the sunrise.
