Discover a magical area 4,200 meters above sea level with stunning turquoise waters. It will prove to be the perfect place to spend a nice relaxing day, with the Humantay Glacier looming large behind you.
You will be picked up from your hotel at around 4:30AM, at which point you will drive towards Humantay Lake. You'll later arrive to Soraypampa at around 8:00AM, where a delicious breakfast will be served overlooking the majestic mountain peaks of Salkantay and Humantay.
It’s then a 2-hour hike uphill to Humantay Lake (4,200 meters), where the base of a mountain with the same name is located. The views of the crystal clear water reflecting the sky are unforgettable, and you can also see native birds, flowers, and magnificent mountain tops from this location.
Upon arrival to the lake you will have time to explore the surroundings or just relax, as you adsorb the magic and energy of this paradisaical place. Before you start descending your guide will perform an ancient ceremony paying tributes to the mountain gods. It will then be 1.5 hours downhill to Soraypampa for a buffet lunch, before you take a private bus back to Cusco where you will arrive back at your hotel at around 5:00PM.
