In the white city we will find beautiful attractions that you will love, come and enjoy this where the combination of natural landscape and living culture offers visitors a unique experience.
ITINERARY
- We will pick you up from your accommodation in Arequipa early in the morning to head towards the Ruta del Sillar.
- Our first stop will be a viewpoint to appreciate a beautiful view of the volcanoes that surround Arequipa, then we will continue our tour.
- We will stop at the Añashuayco Quarry, where we can observe how the local stonemasons work the stone and learn about the carving process.
- Furthermore, at this point we will admire the immense cliff canyon, due to the extraction of the material for the formation of the ashlars.
- We will leave the Añashuayco Quarry, and after about 30 minutes we will find the Quebrada de Culebrillas. The water canyon will invite us to admire its walls up to 20 meters high, and we will enter it for a walk of about 20 minutes.
- Our last stop on the Sillar Route will be at the petroglyphs of the canyon, figures carved in the stone whose meaning is unknown.
- Finally we will return to Arequipa at 1:00 p.m., where we will end our excursion.
