Discover the imposing Huacas del Sol and de la Luna, and visit the Chan Chan Palace, a World Heritage Site, where you can marvel at intricate sculptures of birds, fish and other fascinating figures.
Book in advance for departures from Tuesday to Sunday.
ITINERARY:
• The adventure begins at 10:00 am from our meeting point at the Plaza Mayor in Trujillo.
• We will depart southeast of Trujillo to explore the Moche countryside, where you will discover the rural traditions of the region.
• We will make a stop to observe the Huacos de la Fertilidad and then visit the “Cerro Blanco” artisan workshop, where you will be able to see the ceramic manufacturing process live.
• Next, we will explore the Museum of the Huacas de Moche to learn more about the Mochica culture, a pre-Inca civilization.
• We will return to the city center to enjoy lunch and later continue with a visit to the Chan Chan Museum. Inside the Chan Chan citadel, you will be able to admire friezes on the walls, as well as sculptures of birds, fish and other figures.
• Afterwards, we will head to Huanchaco beach, where you will have free time to explore the boardwalk and its surroundings.
• Finally, we will return to Trujillo and drop you off near the Plaza Mayor, with an estimated arrival around 6:30 pm.
