Excursion to Huascaran National Park + Chinancocha Lagoon

In this excursion to Huascaran National Park we will discover the impressive landscapes of the Peruvian nature. In addition, we will hike along the María Josefa trail to the Chinancocha lagoon.
Itinerary
We will pick you up at your hotel in Huaraz at 9:30 a.m. and head north through the Callejón de Huaylas, located between the Cordilleras Blanca and Negra, until we reach the Huascarán National Park.

During the trip, we will pass through some Andean villages and enjoy the beautiful landscapes of Huascarán Park, a World Natural Heritage Site and World Biosphere Reserve, which will leave you speechless!

We will continue traveling through the area until we reach the Llanganuco ravine and the Chinancocha lagoon. At this point, we will leave the minibus and begin a hiking route of an hour and a half along the María Josefa trail, a hike that will show us the famous quenual forests.

During the hiking route, the guide will show us all the secrets of the high Andean flora and fauna, and you will not stop taking pictures of the environment! We will take a one hour break to have lunch on your own.

With our batteries recharged, we will approach the Campo Santo de Yungay, a place with an amazing history that we will discover in situ. From there, we will return to the minibus and return to your hotel in Huaraz. We will finish the excursion at approximately 6:30 pm.
