From Ancash || Excursion Chavín de Huántar || Full Day

This tour features a visit to the southern part of the Callejón de Huaylas, where we will observe the Querococha Lagoon and explore the archaeological complex of Chavín de Huántar.
At 9:00 am, we will pick you up from your hotel to embark on this captivating tour. Our journey begins by exploring the picturesque towns of Recuay, Ticapampa, and Catac. From there, we will head east, entering the stunning Cordillera Blanca. A brief stop awaits us at the breathtaking Querococha Lagoon, situated at an elevation of 3900 meters above sea level, where you will have approximately 20 minutes to admire its natural beauty.

Continuing our adventure, we will descend panoramically towards the town of Chavin. Here, we will delve into the intriguing archaeological complex of Chavin, which includes the Quadrangular Plaza, the Circular Plaza, the Castle, the Labyrinths, and the renowned Lanzon. Additionally, we will visit the Chavin Museum, conveniently located just 1 km from the city, providing insight into the different stages of development of Peru's Great First High Andean Culture.

Following our cultural exploration, we will savor a delightful lunch in Chavin and take time to wander through its charming streets, capturing the essence of this historic city. The tour will conclude around 7:00 pm back in Huaraz, where we will drop you off at your hotel or another prearranged location.
