This day we will enter the majestic Huascaran National Park to contemplate the imposing highest mountain in Peru. In addition, we will visit the poignant site of Yungay-Campo Santo, now recognized as a World Heritage Site after being buried by an earthquake and mudslide in 1970. Our tour will begin north of Huaraz, arriving first at the charming town of Carhuaz, where we will enjoy traditional ice cream and capture photos in the Plaza de Armas. Then we will head to Yungay to explore the town buried by the natural disaster of the 70's and visit the emotional Campo Santo. Afterwards, we ascend to the dazzling Chinancocha Lagoon in Llanganuco, where we will have the opportunity to take a boat ride and marvel at its natural surroundings, descending from the heights, we will pass through Caraz to taste and purchase local artisanal delicacies before returning to Huaraz. This will be a day full of history, natural beauty and unforgettable experiences in the heart of the Peruvian Andes.
