More than seven decades later, we can still witness the historic moments of World War II by visiting memorial sites and monuments in Berlin. This original tour will take you back to a time when Berlin was the center of Nazi Germany. Discover the events and personalities that changed the course of WWII.
Your 2-hour walking tour will begin at the Potsdamer Platz, which was a major target area for air raids and heavy artillery bombardment during the last years of the war. Your Private Guide will help you imagine the demolished city square and its reconstruction on the West and East side of the Berlin Wall. Take a stroll towards the touching Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe and the Memorial to Homosexuals Persecuted Under Nazism to learn about Nazi ideology and the Holocaust. See also the landmark Brandenburg Gate and the Reichstag Building, which played a symbolic role in the Soviet victory over Nazi Germany during the Battle of Berlin.
