Itinerary for EBC / Kalapattar 11 Days Trek


Day 1 : Flight to Lukla (2,800m) and Trek to Phakding (2600m).

• Early morning flight from Kathmandu to Lukla (35 minutes).
• Begin the trek with a (3-4) hour walk to Phakding.
• Follow the Dudh Koshi River and pass small villages.
• Overnight stay in Phakding.

Day 2 : Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,440m)

• Trek through pine forests, crossing suspension bridges.
• Ascend through the Dudh Koshi valley to Namche Bazaar.
• Reach Namche Bazaar after 5-6 hours of trekking.
• Overnight stay in Namche Bazaar.

Day 3 : Acclimatization Day in Namche Bazaar

• Rest day for acclimatization.
• Option to hike to Everest View Hotel or explore the local market.
• Visit the Sherpa Museum or nearby villages like Khumjung.
• Overnight stay in Namche Bazaar.

Day 4 : Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3,870m)

• Trek through forests of rhododendron and cross the Dudh Koshi.
• Arrive in Tengboche, home to the famous Tengboche Monastery.
• Enjoy panoramic views of Everest, Ama Dablam, and other peaks.
• Overnight stay in Tengboche.

Day 5: Tengboche to Dingboche (4,360m)

• Descend through forests and cross the Imja Khola.
• Gradual ascent to Dingboche, the “summer valley.”
• 5-6 hours of trekking.
• Overnight stay in Dingboche.

Day 6 : Acclimatization Day in Dingboche

• Another rest day to acclimatize.
• Option to hike to Nagarjun Hill for acclimatization.
• Explore the village or rest in the lodge.
• Overnight stay in Dingboche.

Day 7 : Dingboche to Lobuche (4,940m)

• Trek along the lateral moraine of the Khumbu Glacier.
• Pass the memorials for climbers who lost their lives on Everest.
• 5-6 hours of trekking.
• Overnight stay in Lobuche.

Day 8 : Lobuche to Gorak Shep (5,170m) and Everest Base Camp (5,364m)

• Early morning trek to Gorak Shep.
• Continue to Everest Base Camp, the highlight of the trek.
• Return to Gorak Shep for the night.
• 7-8 hours of trekking.
• Overnight stay in Gorak Shep.

Day 9 : Gorak Shep to Kala Patthar (5,545m) to Pheriche (4,280m)

• Early morning hike to Kala Patthar for sunrise views of Everest.
• Descend to Pheriche after a rewarding experience.
• 7-8 hours of trekking.
• Overnight stay in Pheriche.

Day 10 : Pheriche to Namche Bazaar

• Long descent back to Namche Bazaar.
• 6-7 hours of trekking.
• Overnight stay in Namche Bazaar.

Day 11 : Namche Bazaar to Lukla

• Trek back to Lukla, retracing your steps.
• 8-9 hours of trekking.
• Celebrate the completion of the trek with your team.
• Overnight stay in Lukla.

Day 12 : Flight to Kathmandu

• Morning flight back to Kathmandu.
• Free day for rest or exploring Kathmandu.
• Overnight stay in Kathmandu.
