Island peak is named so as it seems like an island on a sea of ice, in the middle of Chhukung valley. Imja Tse mountain standing tall at 6,189 meters (20,305 feet) is a bit challenging but not too technical and does not require advance climbing skills. Day 1; Flight to Lukla and Trek to Phakding (2,651m) Duration: 5-6 hours.
Day 2; Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,440m) Duration: 6-7 hours.
Day 3; Acclimatization Day in Namche Bazaar (3,440m)
Day 4; Trek to Tengboche (3,860m) Duration: 5-6 hours.
Day 5; Trek to Dingboche (4,410m) Duration: 4-5 hours.
Day 6; Acclimatization Day in Dingboche (4,410m)
Day 7; Trek to Chhukung (4,750m) Duration: 3-4 hours.
Day 8; Island Peak Summit & Return to Island Peak Base Camp
Day 9; Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,440m) Duration: 7-9 hours.
Day 10; Trek from Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2,800m/9,186ft) Duration: 6-7 hours.
Day 11; Flight to Kathmandu (1,350m) & transfer to hotel.
