Mardi himal trek follows a trail that takes you through traditional Gurung and Magar villages, terraced fields, and dense forests of rhododendron and oak. The Mardi Himal Base Camp (4,500m/14,764ft) is the main highlight of the trek, where you will be rewarded with breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and glaciers.
The Mardi Himal Trek can be completed in 5-10 days, depending on the route and itinerary you choose. The best time to go on this trek is from March to May and from September to November, when the weather is dry and the views are crystal clear.
While the trek is less challenging than other popular trekking routes in Nepal, it still requires a moderate level of fitness and stamina. You will also need to obtain the necessary permits and hire a guide or a porter to accompany you on the trek.
Itinerary:
Day 1:
Arrival in Kathmandu. We will pick you up from the the airport and drop you to your hotel.
Day 2:
Today we will travel to Pokhara in a tourist bus. We will pick you up from the bus stop and drop you to your hotel in Pokhara.
Day 3:
Today is the day we start our trek. We will drive to our starting point in Kande and we will begin our trek. We will hike to Forest Camp (Trek time: 6 hours)
Day 4:
Today we will hike to low camp (Trek time: 5 hours)
Day 5:
Today we hike to high camp (Trek time: 6 hours)
Day 6:
Today is the day we reach the highest point. We will trek to Mardi himal base camp and then head back to Low camp (Trek time: 7 hours)
Day 7:
We hike down to Siding from Low camp and then drive back to Pokhara.
Day 8:
Today we explore the city of Pokhara.
Day 9:
We will drive back to Kathmandu in a tourist bus.
