In the heart of Mexico City, Huitzi, original from the Sierra de Oaxaca, heeded the call to share this cherished ritual from his upbringing. Raised in the jungle, he learned the Zapoteca tradition in his youth and mastered it . His purpose is to bring the Zapoteca culture to everyone in need of healing. he realized that his gifts and culture neede to be shared with the workd and in order for him to do that he neede to leave his beloved home in the jungle of Oaxaca.
After an extensive quest, he discovered the ideal site for his temazcal at the Ectágono, right in the heart of CDMX, where he cultivated a medicinal garden to complement his ceremonies. Huitzi mentored María, she as born and raised in Mexico City, who bridges ancient traditions with contemporary healing methods. María assists in blending temazcal with modern practices.
Together, Huitzi and María lead this extraordinary experience, offering a sanctuary for those seeking healing to reconnect with their heritage and restore equilibrium. Moreover, they translate the ritual from Spanish to English, spreading Zapoteca wisdom to a wider audience. The meeting point is outside the Starbucks in Alfonso reyes 218, Col Condesa. This Starbucks is at the lobby of the AR Hotel.
Make sure you are at the right Starbucks, there are other around the area, but this is the only one in Alfonso Reyes street. This location is near cafe Bruna coffee shop, and next to the Honduras embassy.
Right outside the Starbucks there is a big number 218.
