Experience the Lao Khmu culinary tradition as you learn to build a cooking space and craft utensils from natural materials, ready to prepare a meal in the forest.
This is a full day, one-of-a-kind wild cooking experience from 9am - 3pm.
You will be collected from your hotel at 9am and we'll arrive at the forest around 10am. You'll pick your own vegetable from our farm and venture just 10 minutes more into the primary forest of Laos to reach our shelter.
Around this area you will gather natural materials (stones, bamboo, leaves and wood) and use them to build, and set up a cooking space, and craft your own utensils. You will also forage for edible plants and other ingredients to help prepare your meal.
You will learn the traditional way of cooking, using what is available to you, and enjoy your meal in the forest.
Other ingredients such as meat, fish and rice are provided along with fruit and drinking water.
