Embark on a 2-day slow boat trip from Huay Xai to Luang Prabang. Experience the beauty of the Mekong River and see a bit of Laotian life. Watch the sunrise and sunset, visit a local village, and relax on the deck of the boat.
Day 1: Huay Xai - Pakbeng
At 8:00 AM, get picked up from your hotel in Huay Xai. When you arrive at the Huay Xai border, get a visa on arrival. Then, take a shuttle bus to the pier to board the slow boat to Pakbeng. Stop overnight in Pakbeng (accommodation not included).
Day 2: Pakbeng - Luang Prabang
Check in before 8:00 AM and board the slow boat to Luang Prabang. Before reaching Luang Prabang, the boat will stop at the Pak Ou Cave (entry fee included) for travelers to visit another important tourist attraction in Luang Prabang. Arrive in Luang Prabang around 4:00 PM.
