Proceed to Nairobi National Park for an early morning wildlife drive after a brief introduction. See over 100 different animal species, such as lions, cheetahs, leopards, giraffes, buffaloes, hippos, rhinos, zebras, gazelles, elands, wildebeests, hyenas, and many more.
Then, pay a visit to the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage. Since its beginnings, the orphanage has raised over 150 baby elephants who were orphaned in the wild, typically due to poaching. The orphanage aids in reintroducing these magnificent creatures into the wilds of Tsavo National Park in Kenya's east. Learn more about this intriguing project and watch how their careers feed the baby elephants.
Continue to the Giraffe Center. The institution was ostensibly established as a breeding facility for the endangered Rothschild giraffe, but it also runs conservation and teaching programs for Kenyan schoolchildren. Meet the local giraffes before proceeding to an enclosed homestead, the Bomas, each presenting one of Kenya's major ethnic groups.
