From Nairobi: Full Day Tour T0 Mt Kenya With Free Pick-up

Experience beautiful landscapes and spectacular mountain views on this tour to Mt Kenya climb along the Chogoria Route.
06:30 am: Pick up from your Nairobi hotel/ residence and drive to Chogoria, Tharaka Nithi County. The Chogoria route is our recommended and arguably the most magnificent ascent route to the summit area. It is the driest route up the mountain and the walk beside the Gorges Valley is truly spectacular.

From Chogoria Town (2950 meters) we drive toward the Mount Kenya to the Chogoria gate. The distance between Chogoria town and Chogoria park Gate is 29 km.

10:30 am :On completion of park entry formalities at the Chogoria Gate, you begin the hike(6 km) further up the road to 3300 meters.
since it only takes 2 hrs to get to Nithi river, explore the surrounding which includes Nithi falls. Other attractions are Lake Ellis at 3500 meters and Mugi hill located next to Lake Ellis.

13:30pm: We hike a little higher about 1 km which offers an opportunity to view the neighboring flat-topped Giants billard table-a mountain peak near Meru. As you explore the surrounding and attractions of the area, stop to savor lunch at a cool picnic site

15:30pm: After taking pictures we descend down and trace your way back to the park gate and board the safari van which will transfer you back to Nairobi.

19:00pm: We arrive back to Nairobi, transfer you to your hotel/ residence.
