Experience the serene beauty of Itsukushima Shrine’s floating torii gate, explore Hiroshima’s Peace Memorial Park and Museum, and marvel at the iconic Hiroshima Castle. This tour offers a full day of exploration, reflection, and cultural immersion.

Itinerary:

Your adventure begins in either Kyoto or Osaka. We’ll board the Shinkansen for a swift journey to Hiroshima, with a travel time of approximately 1.5 hours. (Train tickets are not included, but JR Pass holders can use their pass.)

Miyajima Island:
Upon arrival in Hiroshima, we’ll transfer to Miyajima Island by train and ferry. As we make our way to Itsukushima Shrine, you'll enjoy scenic views of the island, including its charming streets lined with traditional shops and eateries. We’ll pass through the picturesque Momijidani Park, renowned for its seasonal beauty and serene atmosphere. Upon reaching Itsukushima Shrine, marvel at the iconic floating torii gate, which appears to rise from the water during high tide. Explore the shrine's stunning architecture and the surrounding grounds, which are beautifully preserved and steeped in cultural significance.

Hiroshima Exploration: After our visit to Miyajima, we’ll take a speed ferry back to Hiroshima and continue our journey by tram. We’ll visit the Atomic Bomb Dome, a haunting yet important symbol of peace and resilience. Then, delve into the profound history of the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum, which provides a poignant narrative of the events and aftermath of the bombing.
Our last stop: the majestic Hiroshima Castle, an architectural marvel with a rich history. Learn about its significance and enjoy the surrounding grounds.

Lunch and Flexibility: Throughout the day, we’ll enjoy a lunch break, with options for local dining experiences.

After a day full of exploration, we’ll return to Kyoto or Osaka by Shinkansen.

Additional Information:
If you prefer to extend your stay, overnight accommodation in Hiroshima can be arranged upon prior request (hotel bookings to be made separately by the customer).
If one group decides to stay in Hiroshima, the guide returns back to Osaka with the rest of the group.
