The Colosseum can be very crowded during peak times. It is recommended to visit early in the morning or late in the afternoon.
Security checks are mandatory for all visitors. Large bags and backpacks are not allowed inside.
The ground in the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill can be uneven, so wear comfortable walking shoes.
The ticket allows one entrance to the Colosseum and one entrance to the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill area within two consecutive days from the first use.
Last entrance to the Colosseum is one hour before closing time.
