A long walk among the most emblematic places of the city. From the subway Catania to the high domes of the baroque city, among stories, devotion, folklore and gastronomy.
We will discover Catania from its foundations.
Our tour will begin underground, inside the ruins of the Roman amphitheater.
We will continue our walk to the hill of Montevergine, the birthplace of the city and visit the most imposing church of the city that today preserves the famous "candelore" that accompany Sant'Agata on the days of the feast.
Together we will admire the majestic Benedictine monastery, the second largest in Europe.
We will see from the outside the ruins of the Roman theater and the odeon, built with blocks of black stone from Etna.
We will discover together the splendid via Crociferi with its churches and convents. We will move to the Ursino castle, built in the 13th century and surrounded by lava from the eruption of 1669.
Our walk will take us to Piazza Duomo, the religious and civil center of the city, where we will visit the cathedral.
Our tour ends with a view of the city from above, from the dome of the Abbey of Sant'Agata.
